Tenable Launches Always-On Agentic AI for Continuous Exposure Management

Tenable has announced new always-on capabilities for Tenable Hexa AI, the agentic intelligence engine within the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform, enabling organizations to automate exposure management through a coordinated fleet of autonomous security agents.

The enhancement is designed to help security teams address increasingly complex cyber threats by reducing reliance on manual workflows and repetitive tasks. Unlike many AI security tools that require analysts to repeatedly trigger actions or provide context, Tenable Hexa AI retains environmental awareness across sessions and continuously executes predefined security routines.

Powered by the Tenable Exposure Data Fabric, the platform maintains contextual understanding of an organization’s risk posture, priorities, and operational settings. This allows security teams to automate tasks such as vulnerability analysis, remediation workflows, compliance reporting, and continuous risk monitoring without constant human intervention.

“Security teams can’t scale if they’re confined to a chatbot or a disjointed, highly-specific agent. Tenable Hexa AI delivers on the autonomous promise of AI with a fleet of agents that work together to eliminate repetitive operational bottlenecks and deliver continuous defense.”

Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer, Tenable

Key capabilities include autonomous exposure remediation, which scans for critical security issues, prioritizes risks based on exploitability, initiates remediation actions, and verifies patch deployment. The platform also supports continuous risk reduction guardrails, performing regular analyses to identify security misconfigurations and automatically creating tickets to address issues. Additionally, it can generate tailored executive and compliance reports that provide real-time visibility into organizational security posture.

According to Tenable, the new functionality helps organizations maintain an always-on security operation, reduce remediation times, and free analysts to focus on strategic initiatives rather than routine administrative tasks.

The new Tenable Hexa AI capabilities will be available to Tenable One Foundation and Advanced customers starting in August 2026 and complement the company’s existing AI Exposure capabilities for securing enterprise AI deployments.
