Cohesity Expands Aspire Partner Program With New Specializations and Simplified Incentives
Cohesity has announced updates to its Aspire Global Partner Program, introducing new partner specializations, expanded incentives and simplified training requirements as the company looks to support services-led and recurring-revenue business models.
The changes, which took effect on August 1 alongside Cohesity's new fiscal year, are designed to make the Aspire program easier to navigate while recognizing partners for activities across the customer lifecycle, from opportunity development to services and renewals.
Expanded Partner Incentives
Under the updated program, opportunity rebates now cover teamed deals as well as partner-sourced opportunities. Cohesity will continue to offer incentives for new and expansion business through a simplified deal-registration process.
The company has also removed training completion as a prerequisite for sales representative SPIF eligibility. Growth performance rebates are moving to simplified annualized tools with predictable payout levels, while renewal incumbency rules are intended to provide partners with a consistent pricing advantage when customers renew on time.
Cohesity is also increasing partner rebates for solutions focused on data security and data insights.
Professional Services Becomes First Specialization
A new Specializations credential has been introduced within the Aspire program to recognize deeper partner expertise in specific practice areas.
Professional Services is the first specialization available. Partners that earn the credential will receive access to a dedicated professional services delivery desk, preferred rates on teamed engagements and technical content intended to help accelerate customer deployments.
Cohesity said additional specializations, including technical support delivery and cyber resilience, are planned for later in the current program year.
Training and Certification Requirements Simplified
The company is also reducing training and certification requirements for selected regions and partner tiers.
New guided learning paths are designed to help partners progress from individual courses toward full certification, with the aim of reducing the time required for partners to become ready to sell and support Cohesity solutions.
New Partner Dashboard
Cohesity has added a new dashboard to its partner portal that brings training, certification and billing requirements into a single view.
The dashboard builds on the existing centralized partner view for Cohesity incentives through the Manage My Business partner portal.
Focus on Services-Led Cyber Resilience
Cohesity said the latest Aspire changes were developed in response to direct partner feedback around how partners sell, deliver and support data security outcomes.
“Partners have been clear that they want recognition for the work that happens before, during, and after a transaction,” said Kit Beall, Chief Revenue Officer, Cohesity. He said the updated Aspire program is intended to make the program easier to navigate while supporting partners as they expand their cyber resilience practices.
Vince Trama, Chief Revenue Officer, Presidio, said customers are increasingly seeking deeper partner-delivered services around security and AI.
The changes reflect Cohesity's broader focus on strengthening its partner ecosystem as businesses increase investments in data security, AI, cyber resilience and recurring technology services.
