Vertiv announced an agreement to acquire the Great Lakes Data Racks & Cabinets family of companies (collectively “Great Lakes”) in a transaction valued at $200 million.
Great Lakes, established in 1985 and headquartered in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, is known for its innovative, highly customised data rack enclosures, integrated cabinets, seismic solutions, and advanced cable management systems. With manufacturing and assembly facilities in both the U.S. and Europe, the company serves a broad range of enterprise, edge, colocation, and hyperscale data center customers.
The acquisition, priced at roughly 11.5x expected 2026 EBITDA (including synergies), will enhance Vertiv’s ability to deliver AI-ready, pre-engineered rack solutions optimised for next-generation computing markets.

The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025.
