Ranjit Satyanath Joins Vijay Sales as CIO to Drive Digital Strategy
Vijay Sales has appointed Ranjit Satyanath as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), reinforcing the company's commitment to digital transformation as it continues to expand its omnichannel retail footprint across India.
In his new role, Satyanath will lead Vijay Sales' enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation initiatives, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and innovation roadmap. He will be responsible for driving technology-led business growth, enhancing customer experiences, and strengthening the integration of the company's online and offline retail operations.
His appointment comes at a time when retailers are increasingly investing in cloud technologies, data analytics, automation, and digital platforms to improve operational efficiency, deliver seamless omnichannel experiences, and meet evolving consumer expectations.
Prior to joining Vijay Sales, Satyanath served as Senior Vice President – IT & Digital at The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), where he played a key role in leading enterprise-wide technology modernization and digital innovation initiatives.
With more than two decades of leadership experience, Satyanath has held senior technology roles across leading organizations, including Hippo Homes, Croma (Infiniti Retail Limited), Crossword Bookstores, Shoppers Stop, ICICI Bank, Birla Technologies Ltd., Asian Sky Shop, Primetime Media Services Ltd., and Elbee Express. His expertise spans enterprise IT, cloud transformation, digital platforms, cybersecurity, retail technology, and omnichannel business operations.
Satyanath's appointment reflects Vijay Sales' strategic focus on leveraging technology to accelerate innovation, optimize business processes, and strengthen its position in India's fast-growing consumer electronics retail market.
