Enhanced Informatica–Microsoft Collaboration Aims to Empower Enterprises with Reliable GenAI

In a significant advancement for enterprise artificial intelligence, Informatica has unveiled deeper integrations with Microsoft’s Foundry platform, elevating its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to deliver trusted, governed, and enterprise-grade AI solutions. Announced at Microsoft Ignite 2025, the strengthened collaboration is designed to help organizations build, deploy, and scale agentic AI applications powered by high-quality, compliant, and well-governed data.

Vitaldevara emphasized the powerful synergy between IDMC, CLAIRE AI, and Microsoft Foundry—a combination purpose-built to accelerate enterprise AI adoption without compromising on data integrity or regulatory obligations. Using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the integration provides AI agents with near real-time access to governed datasets across Informatica’s Cloud Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management offerings.

As part of the launch, Informatica introduced new GenAI Recipes and agentic blueprints for Foundry, featuring ready-to-deploy solutions for use cases including loan processing and automobile insurance claims. These prebuilt templates drastically shorten development cycles, enabling enterprises to operationalize GenAI capabilities faster and more efficiently.

Amanda Silver underscored the importance of high-quality data, noting that Microsoft Foundry’s interoperability with Informatica’s metadata-driven CLAIRE AI engine ensures responsible, reliable AI outcomes at production scale.

Informatica also announced expanded analytics interoperability with support for Apache Iceberg–powered Microsoft OneLake tables, reinforcing its commitment to open, flexible ecosystem integration.
