Technology Alliance Combines Governed Data Workflows With AI-Native Analytics to Help Businesses Explore Data and Act on Insights Faster

Alteryx, an agentic analytics and automation company, has announced a technology alliance with Golden Analytics, a platform designed to help users obtain trusted answers from their data.

The partnership aims to give organizations a more intuitive way to investigate business questions while maintaining the governance, business context and data foundations needed for reliable analytics.

As enterprises increasingly integrate artificial intelligence into their data strategies, the ability to move beyond static reports and dashboards is becoming increasingly important. The collaboration between Alteryx and Golden Analytics is designed to help businesses explore data dynamically while continuing to work within established governance and business rules.

Combining Governed Data With AI-Driven Analytics

The alliance brings together Alteryx’s capabilities around governed data workflows, standardized metrics and business logic with Golden Analytics’ AI-native approach to data exploration.

According to the companies, the collaboration will help organizations investigate business questions as they emerge, including follow-up questions that traditional dashboards and static reports may not be designed to address.

The partnership is also intended to reduce the manual effort involved in preparing analysis, performing calculations and moving between different stages of an investigation.

By connecting analytical insights with business workflows, organizations can potentially move more quickly from understanding a business issue to taking action.

Creating a Trusted Foundation for AI Analytics

Traditional reporting has generally focused on providing consistent answers to questions that organizations already know they need to ask. AI-driven analytics introduces the possibility of allowing users to explore new questions and investigate unexpected findings in a more interactive way.

However, AI-generated analysis still depends on the quality and reliability of the underlying data.

Alteryx provides workflows, standardized definitions, calculations and business rules that can establish a governed foundation for analytics. Golden Analytics builds on that foundation with AI capabilities designed to help users investigate questions, identify patterns and test assumptions.

The companies say that combining these capabilities can give organizations both the governance needed for trusted analytics and greater flexibility when exploring business data.

“AI is fundamentally changing how organizations interact with data, creating an opportunity to make analytics more dynamic, accessible, and useful across the business,” said Andy MacMillan, CEO of Alteryx.

“But AI alone doesn’t understand how a company operates. The calculations, rules, processes, and decisions that shape a business need to be captured in a trusted and governed foundation. By bringing Alteryx together with Golden Analytics, we’re helping customers connect that foundation to a new way of exploring data, uncovering insights, and moving from questions to action faster,” he added.

Analytics Moving Beyond Static Dashboards

Dashboards and reports remain important tools for communicating business information and maintaining consistent performance measurements. However, the companies believe their role can evolve as organizations adopt AI-native analytics.

Instead of treating a dashboard as the final destination of an analysis, users can use an initial finding as a starting point for additional investigation.

AI can help users move from an initial question to related questions and identify areas that may not have been considered initially. Automating some of the manual processes associated with preparing data and performing calculations can also allow analysts to focus more on interpreting results, testing hypotheses and deciding on next steps.

François Ajenstat, CEO of Golden Analytics, said the role of dashboards is changing as organizations move toward AI-native analytics.

“The dashboard has traditionally been the end product of analytics, but in an AI-native world, it becomes the beginning of a conversation,” said Ajenstat.

“AI gives people the ability to pursue questions as they arise rather than waiting for someone to build the next report. The opportunity with Alteryx is to connect powerful analytical capabilities to the workflows and business logic organizations already rely on, so more people can investigate confidently without giving up accuracy, governance, or control,” he added.

McGarrah Jessee Highlights Potential Business Impact

The alliance is also being viewed by McGarrah Jessee as part of its broader approach to integrating AI into its operations.

According to Bill Urciuoli, Chief Technology Officer at McGarrah Jessee, the combination of trusted data, organizational knowledge and human decision-making can help businesses rethink how they interact with analytics.

“AI gives us an opportunity to rethink analytics. The goal isn’t simply to make existing processes faster. It’s to change the relationship people have with data, moving from consuming answers to actively interrogating business problems as they emerge,” said Urciuoli.

He added that Alteryx provides a governed foundation for data and business logic, while Golden Analytics provides a more flexible environment for exploring that information.

“By putting those two things together, analytics start to become less of a destination and more of an operating layer for businesses,” Urciuoli said.

Alteryx and Golden Analytics to Showcase the Alliance

Alteryx and Golden Analytics are making additional information about the alliance and a demonstration available through Alteryx's partner resources.

The companies are also continuing the discussion around trusted AI-driven analytics through a live LinkedIn session titled “The Trust Equation: Building Data Confidence in the AI Era.”

The session will feature Andy MacMillan, CEO of Alteryx; François Ajenstat, CEO of Golden Analytics; and Bill Urciuoli, CTO of McGarrah Jessee.

The discussion is scheduled for September 29 at 10 a.m. PT and will focus on how organizations can balance the speed and flexibility of AI-based data exploration with the governance and trust required for enterprise analytics.
