Kishore Hirani Appointed Group CIO at Lloyds Metals & Energy

The experienced technology executive brings over 30 years of expertise in industrial IT, enterprise systems and digital transformation to support the company’s expanding operations.

Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd has appointed Kishore Hirani as its Group Chief Information Officer (CIO), bringing an experienced technology leader into the company’s senior leadership as it continues to expand its mining and metals operations and digital capabilities.

In his new role, Hirani will focus on aligning enterprise technology with business objectives, enhancing digital capabilities and improving operational efficiency. His expertise spans artificial intelligence, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, IT governance and digital manufacturing, areas that are becoming increasingly important for industrial companies seeking to strengthen productivity, resilience and operational visibility.

Hirani joins Lloyds Metals after spending more than a decade with Amara Raja Group, where he served as President and Chief Digital and Information Officer. During his tenure, he led technology strategy, enterprise systems, data initiatives, cybersecurity and digital transformation programmes. His responsibilities included ERP transformation, SAP Ariba and Salesforce initiatives, alongside digital manufacturing solutions for battery production and emerging electric vehicle battery operations.

His professional experience also includes senior technology positions at Adani Ports and Logistics and Gujarat Gas–BG Group. Hirani spent nearly 13 years at GE, where he led the GE Energy India SAP and IT Centre. He began his career working in process computerisation at Mukand Ltd before moving into a software engineering role at Blue Star Infotech.

Strengthening Digital Capabilities Across Industrial Operations

The appointment comes as industrial companies increasingly use technology not only to modernise back-office systems but also to connect data, business processes and operational decision-making across complex operations.

For Lloyds Metals & Energy, Hirani’s experience across manufacturing, energy, infrastructure and enterprise technology could help reinforce the digital foundations needed to support the company’s growth.

A key priority will be translating technology investments into measurable gains in operational efficiency, governance and overall business performance.
