ManageEngine has introduced new digital employee experience (DEX) capabilities to its unified endpoint management and security platform, Endpoint Central, marking a step toward autonomous endpoint management. The enhancement is designed to help IT teams improve employee experience while ensuring security and performance across endpoints.
The update addresses a growing workplace challenge: employees’ productivity now depends heavily on device and application performance. While the 2024 Gartner® Digital Worker Survey shows nearly 90% of workers believe their digital tools support efficiency, issues like slow boot times, app crashes, and login delays often go unnoticed until they disrupt workflows.
“Hybrid work has made the digital experience a defining factor in employee productivity and retention,” said Chirag Mehta, VP and principal analyst at Constellation Research. “Buyers are seeking integrated visibility and automation that enable IT teams to transition from reactive support to proactive engagement.”
Key DEX Capabilities in Endpoint Central
- Experience monitoring & insights: Continuous tracking of CPU, memory, disk health, and more to detect early signs of performance friction.
- Root cause analysis: Correlates poor performance with issues such as hardware degradation or resource-heavy applications, accelerating troubleshooting.
- Prioritised alerts & remediation: Severity-based issue ranking with one-click or automated fixes through a built-in action library or custom workflows.
- Experience scoring & benchmarking: Scores devices and apps on performance and stability, enabling IT to benchmark against baselines and track remediation progress.
Looking forward, ManageEngine plans to expand predictive analytics, extend self-healing automation, and leverage contextual AI across telemetry and workflows.
“Our North Star is autonomous endpoint management delivered through a unified platform that proactively ensures all endpoints adhere to policies, maintain optimal performance, and remain secure, with IT intervention required only by exception,” said Mathivanan Venkatachalam, VP at ManageEngine.
Availability
The new DEX capabilities are available immediately as a stand-alone SaaS solution called DEX Manager Plus or as an add-on to Endpoint Central. Both offerings are globally available for enterprises, SMBs, and system integrators.
